After "Purple," they return to a two-tone title this time around. "Gold & Grey" contains 17(!) tracks, with the goal, according to founder, guitarist, and vocalist John Baizley, "to write increasingly sophisticated, honest, and captivating music, and to develop a more unique and sophisticated sound. We dug incredibly deep and made a record that I'm convinced we'll never be able to replicate again. Sebastian, Nick, and Gina pushed me to become a better songwriter, musician, and singer!" This release is said to contain some "firsts" for the band, and it's also the first album with guitarist Gina Gleason, who joined in 2017.
