Originally released in 2001 as a CD, now available for the first time as a vinyl LP! And what a presentation: gatefold cover with the lyrics, loads of photos and the record itself in clear w/ black and white splatter! The band "Der Dicke Polizist" (also known as DDP) was founded in Koblenz in 1993 and is a fixture in the punk scene. Their songs critically address social issues. After initial success with demo tapes such as "Keine Liebe, keine Gerechtigkeit" (1994) and "Wir habens satt" (1997), the band released their first album "Es passiert am hellixten Tag" (It happened on hellixten Tag) in 1998. The following years brought several changes in the band's line-up and a name change to "DDP" in 2005, as the original name was often misunderstood as being too humorous for their serious topics. The labels also changed a few times. After the albums “DDP” and “Alexithymie” (Impact Records), the band switched to the band’s own Dritte Wahl label. After a short break, the band returned to its old name in 2014 and released the EP “Naive Automaten” in 2015.
