The debut self-titled EP from Melbourne’s TAX, featuring members of LAKES, ZOND, and more. Brooding sonic frustration captured and reproduced. Brittle guitar meets imposing bass put to an ever pounding drum. This is post punk with a decidedly darker edge taking influence from groups like ANTISECT and KILLING JOKE but mixing it with a distinctly Australian energy. Rock and roll baking under a hot sun. The sound the smiths hammer makes as it hits glowing red steel. Pure. Australian. Nihilism.
