THE PARASITES OF THE WESTERN WORLD - "Politico" B/W "Zytol 7"

Rare and elusive copies of the original pressing of the follow up to their self-titled LP recorded by The Parasites of the Western World in 1979. The Parasites are generally regarded as overlooked and ahead of their time (what else do you see on this site ?) This 7” single features 2 songs, “Politico” and “Zytol Automation” and predates the Substrata record, which, if you buy the general consensus, is where things went bunk (not that we completely agree) but anyway, the Parasites were two nowhere guys from Portland. They cross heavy guitar fuzzbombs, a few classic rock moves, some errant synths & a shitload of flange in several totally inappropriate places. Some slow, cold ‘n’ gloomy freakouts that aren’t far from Chrome (although I would guess that they got there accidentally).
